The Organizing Team worked closely with the Board and corporate sponsors to prepare a comprehensive selection of prominent speakers and collaborative activities that highlight the investment banking industry and other areas of the capital markets.

NIBC 2016 features three highly interactive simulations in Sales & Trading, Private Equity, and Investment Banking, along with workshops, panels, and a variety of networking events. The two-day Conference delivered significant learning and networking opportunities for delegates interested in various careers in the capital markets.

Overview of a Full-Service Investment Bank  
Intended as an introduction and conceptual guide to the various presentations and workshops at NIBC, this presentation provides a holistic view of the core products and services a full-service investment bank offers in the greater context of the financial system. This presentation exposes delegates to the different types of work available to individuals in various divisions of an investment bank.
Investment Banking Deal Presentation  
This presentation introduces delegates to the structure of a deal team when managing an investment banking transation. It is designed as a guide to a career in investment banking and covers the preparation, execution, and marketing components. This workshop exposes delegates to the common valuation methodologies utilized by investment banks. By using a real-world example, this presentation examines, in detail, the concepts of comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and discounted cash flow modeling.
Alternative Investment Deal Presentation  
An experienced speaker introduce delegates to the concept of alternative investments and uncover the various investment opportunities in this workshop. Real-time guidance is provided in order to accurately convey various strategies and concepts.
Transaction Markets Update  
A panel of experienced private equity representatives will discuss their views on the industry, key trends, and careers in this field. The discussion provides attendees with insight into the role private equity can play in the financial markets, both privately and publicly. The panel is designed to be highly interactive, with a moderator asking questions at the beginning of the session. Delegates are given the opportunity to ask questions and comment during the Q&A session.
Capital Markets Update  
As a market commentator for BNN and a Portfolio Manager, Andrew brings a wealth of experience and insight into the current state of the capital markets. Andrew will discuss some of the major trends we have seen in the capital markets, how these trends have effected the economy, and what could be expected over the coming months.
MDA Training Presents:  
Simulations: Sales & Trading, Private Equity, and Investment Banking
NIBC 2016 will feature three highly interactive simulations in Private Equity, Sales & Trading, and Investment Banking. Each simulation will be provided by a leading Wall Street training firm, MDA Training, with the help of industry professionals.
Investment Banking Q&A Panel  
This panel consists of Investment Banking Analysts from various banks. It is designed to be open and highly interactive where delegates can ask questions regarding a career in investment banking. This is the chance to learn all about the interview process, the work, and the lifestyle of an investment banker.
Gala Dinner, Keynote Speech & Final Judging Round  
The Competition and Conference culminates at the Gala Dinner, featuring a keynote speech as well as the Competition's Final Round. The top teams out of the 250 First Round teams from across the globe will present to a judging panel of senior managing directors from leading investment banks and compete for a prize pool of $15,000.
