The Trading Simulation

The Trading Simulation at NIBC 2012 will give delegates the opportunity to compete with other attendees in a highly engaging and challenging 3-hour Trading Simulation, facilitated by MDA Training. This Simulation will give delegates hands on experience in planning trading strategies, analyzing financial information, running meetings and executing trades in a real-life scenario.

The Simulation will be composed of 8 sell-side firms, 7 buy-side firms and 8 research firms, totaling 23 teams of approximately 200 delegates. Upon purchasing an NIBC Conference ticket, delegates indicate their top three role preferences from the following selection:

Firm Type Role
Sell-side Trader, Sales Person, Market Maker
Buy-side Fund Manager
Research Researcher

Delegates will be notified of their roles prior to the Simulation.
